War and Famine vs. Peace and Fertility: Resilient Societies in the Horn of Africa
This project uses cultural heritage and archaeology as a departure point to tackle global issues in terms war and famine in the Horn of Africa. It uses cultural notions of peace- and fertility making and their manifestations as a base for its data. Fieldwork funding by Sawiris Foundation, Egypt. The proposal is being developed with project partners at ASC Leiden and the Faculty of Archaeology.
